This is an old Chiu chou restaurant recommended by my friend! All their dishes are written on the wall as they don’t give you any menu when you sit down!

Not sure if they have English menu or not.

Food was okay. Nice to try though!

在这里吃潮州冻蟹,我们问价钱时说是100一只,叫了两只。 埋单时却是1600。吓我们一跳。

服务员说我们听错。她说800一只哦!各位大大,帮我评评理,这是合理的吗?

幾年冇去呢間老字號,估唔到而家變成咁!
諗住開開心心同屋企人去慶祝生日,因為屋企人鍾意食潮州菜,但換來一肚氣,佢哋擺明劏客,仲要超級難食,及服務態度勁差,終於我哋全家人都頂唔順全部要轉去另外一間餐廳食。呢個係史上最差嘅一餐晚飯,「創發」簡直係一間超級黑店!
不知所謂!

食物和服务都不错,环境很放松。不会赶着你吃,催着你吃的感觉。周六中午12点来,有很多空位,老板还会在门口霸住车位给你。口味清淡不辣,很适合小朋友。
推荐:黄花鱼汤(hkd 280),花生米猪尾,焖白菜粉丝。中午吃了725,人均180。

Dine in on the 16/12/22 with my walking buddy. Had several dishes 1) already steamed yellow croaker (somewhat salty and cold) 2) reheat eel in claypot (quite salty though 8ts good flavour), 3) cooked cabbage (rather bland) and 4) braised goose a small portion (it was tough and chewy). For the last two items, they took their time to deliver, when we were their first customer for dinner (thereabout 5 pm). Would not revisit this restaurant again.
It took a long time for then to deliver the cabbage

出左去成日夜晚想食餐好嘅就同朋友你識我想你好耐嘅潮州菜因為見到佢地擺盤放曬出嚟好特別亦都未試過咁就嚟試下啦九龍城都方便朋友泊車有耐性方便朋友泊車

開飯前同飯後都提供功夫茶飲既~ 呢度好多都係時價,亦都冇餐牌提供,想食咩就同阿姐講或者這去樓下菜檔攤點餸,都係個幾特別嘅體驗。

️ 蠔仔粥
呢個好味,足料,肉碎,蠔仔多同肥美,仲有咸魚,好夠味

️ 韭菜豬紅
正常,份量少

️ 糖醋麵
好期待既一味,因為成日見人叫,以為好特別,點知醋,糖,麵味非常獨立

️ 花生豬手
唔多吸引,上到黎隻碗裂左,溜曬啲汁,同呀姐講要換隻碗,無理過我地

️ 春菜
已煮好,正常

️ 蝦蟹雙棗
蝦棗好食啲,兩三位友人話食蟹棗有vanilla 味?!

️ 反沙芋
另一個好期待嘅甜品,因為手工繁複,唔喺度度有得食,今次終於得償所願,食後感係好甜!

每人$220左右,可能我地唔識嗌餸,亦都唔係正宗潮州人,唔識欣賞,整體感覺麻麻!

首先,唔覺得個味道非常之好。第二,沒有標明價錢,其實都唔知佢收左幾多錢/收得啱唔啱。第三,所有份量都係極細,適合二,三人食,細細份。

搶錢,劏客,永遠不再光顧。一碟例牌滷水鵝$150,只得一隻起了骨的鵝翼,肉靱兼超細碟,30元都唔值,方魚九菜花$80,四粒方魚粒,兩元價值九菜花,白飯$15/ 碗, 咁既價錢去潮X春 的高級酒樓都唔使咁貴,但環境舒服得多。

Authentic Chiu Chow food. No decor, nothing fancy but a place full of history in Kowloon City. Excellent Kung Fu Tea and high food quality. Can get expansive if order seafood.

多年冇來, 連菜牌都慳返, 淨係可以睇幅牆, 現時只有部分嘢好算可以食得入口, 蠔餅冇薯粉又細件, 外面唔夠脆, 入面亦唔煙韌, 莞茜都冇條又冇豆瓣醬, 鹵水拼盤冇鹵水味又凍又肥膩得個鹹字, 春菜豬油渣又係得個鹹字, 淨係一個炸豆腐正常少少, 其他嘢食都唔想講, 相比起十多年前差了很遠, 但價錢亦不大眾化, 以前好既潮州打冷飯店又少一間, 已變成鹹食.

Very authentic Chaozhou restaurant, with many rarely found dishes in town, for example fresh Whelk Head soup with shark fin and fried carrots cake. Don’t expect the price is low, but you can really taste the different here!

Great authentic tastes. Price ok. Staff nice and friendly. It’s great they have managed to hold itself up as a traditional chiu chow restaurant for so many years.

以前強人佔據,就很少幫襯,怕不叫貴嘢如 凍蟹 大馬友 螺片等等, 就被冷落 。今晚去看看, 門前打冷位 食物種類繁多 叫咗 糯米大腸 菱角馬蹄雞腳湯 ,鹵水灼大墨魚, 花生豬尾等 典型小熱盤, 很有驚喜,吃得出材料選擇嚴謹,排骨雞腳都是非冰鮮貨, 味道正宗, 埋單唔過400,冇加一兼有招呼。 希望這種正常水平,價位,就算强人再來,都可保持 真正 出色 嘅潮州店!

202002 好好味嘅潮洲菜,細細碟可以點多幾碟,三大隻蝦鮮甜彈牙,反沙竽,竽泥又係必食,所以切記留肚食甜品

Food: 7/10• can’t miss thin mussels and prawns. Others are fair
Service: 8/10• hospitality with passion. Unexpectedly good
Price: 7/10• price level is higher than similar type Chiu Chou restaurants. A bit overpriced but consider the quality of food … depends
Vibe: 7/10• old fashion Chinese restaurant. Everything looks same as 20 years ago.

黑店,價錢亂開,埋單時必須查單,相信是伙計做了手腳,埋單時他們已準備了兩套單,如果客人如單照付,多收部份他們自己落袋,如果客人要求取回原單,他們就自動説計錯數,手腳極不乾淨;另外,很多打冷食物不標价錢,收費時才發現高得得不合理,這店還是不去為妙!

Truly authentic Chiu Chow food. Can get expensive if you order seafood or items with 'seasonal' prices, but we wisely opted for more modest dishes for lunch. Setting reasonable, as is service though the place is packed with long time customers so yes there is a discernable difference in the attention you get as a first timer. Nonetheless if you are looking for truly authentic Chiu Chow food, this will be an excellent choice

Chong Fat is one of the oldest Chiu Chow restaurants in Kowloon City, & is considered an institution for traditional Chiu Chow dishes. It is often visited by well-to-do elderly dinners, hence the usual parade of expensive cars outside in the evening. Despite its reputation as a pricy restaurant, most of the standard dishes are actually inexpensive at below $100. Just be careful with "seasonal" price items.

今日去九龍城城南道創發試菜看老媽子能否吃得到,並打包了回家给她試。
試食了以下老潮州菜式:
蝦蟹棗-很全統的潮式點心做法,炸得香口,心軟可口。
煎蠔餅-正宗煎法,蛋邊脆如酥餅,中心是蛋包蠔仔,很好吃。
韮菜花腩肉-韮菜爽,腩肉有部份煎得過了點火,但未到炭苦,整體味道還不錯。
炒麵線-麵線炒得乾身没多餘的油,非常爽口,鹹味剛好!
猪腳凍-鹵水的猪腳凍味道不鹹,相信有為猪腳凍重調鹹度,很好,鹵水凍軟如啫喱配上爽韌的碎猪脚,相得益章!
反沙芋-中間是泰國合天時的芋頭,粉嫩有咬口,加上炒成脆皮的糖漿片包著的外褘,非常好吃!

地方懷舊、食物款式多、有水準、服務勤快,疫情影響,加上休漁期,冷檔選擇比以往少,但乜賞心悦目,食物要平有貴,自己衡量,潮洲炒麵線,只售六十元,二人份量,美味價廉,值得推薦。要留意現在客人減少,食物經過存放,鮮度可能減低,要留意。
