Gentlemen's Tonic reviews
32I absolutely love this place. I keep recommending it to all my friends and family. I wouldn't go anywhere else and if you are in need of some serious grooming, then this is your place! You won't be disappointed!
I have been going to Gentlemen's Tonic for years now and it is the best place for all my grooming needs. I get my haircut there with the fantastic team and I really enjoy their facials, massages and waxing as well. I would highly recommend Gentlemen's Tonic for all your grooming needs. They also offer gift sets, gift vouchers and amazing grooming products.
Worst experience, please shut this place down.the hair cut was so bad I had to get one next day to fix it. The hair just over my ear was still long and you can see how poorly it was cut.what a joke!
Great place for some downtime. Head barber Adrian is great to deal with, either give him your preferred style or let him decide what would work for you.
Had a pretty appalling haircut here recently. I was sent on my way in a little over 10 minutes, got home to find patches of hair that were totally missed. Needed to go somewhere else to have it fixed up. Super disappointing, especially given the price
Thx Chinese guy gave me a cutthroat blade shave but the black guy gave me a safety razer shave but charged the same price. Only shave with the Chinese dude.
I recently had the pleasure of coming to Gentlemen's Tonic Hong Kong and I can't recommend this place enough. The staff was fantastic and the haircut and other grooming services were top-notch. I would highly recommend coming here and I can't wait until my next visit!
I come regularly with my son for his haircut and now my husband also comes. I love the Gentlemen's Tonic products, which are made in England and are great for every day use as well as the advanced skincare. All my Mum friends come too and buy gifts and gift vouchers!
With everything going on in Hong Kong these days, I was worried about finding a place without too many people close together and also very hygenic. I really like that there are sanitizers and the staff are wearing masks. The private rooms are also cosy and provide an extra ease of mind so one is not near other people. This is really important to me for my son and husband. I will definitely be coming back soon.
I love this place. I've been coming for years and everyone from the receptionist to the barber (Jason) are terrific. My son also comes with me sometimes and it's such a special bonding time. I have let all my friends know about Gentlemen's Tonic. I can't wait to try out their other international locations.
I went in today for some well-deserved pampering and it was absolutely brilliant. I would recommend Gentlemen's Tonic to everyone. It's the best place for any man to get the true grooming experience. I particularly enjoyed the facials and the haircut. My son is the next to come in for their special Father & Son package.
Thank you to the team for an exceptional service. I will be back soon and I am looking forward to it!
Think I agree with Conor, service I received was good but probably not better than other good barbers I’ve been to, and there are a good few. Attention to detail lacks while pricing is top notch.
James is the man. Great, professional service, interesting conversation, enterprising guy.good at his trade. JW
Update: The manager got in contact with me and has refunded my money. He was apologetic, and has offered a complimentary haircut with a different barber. I won't be taking him up on that.
Absolutely appalling.
I booked my husband and son on for a Father & Son haircut package while I did a bit of shopping. Didn't go to plan.
My husband messaged saying it was a tiny room, 1 chair, behind a curtain. They hacked away at my son's hair leaving huge chunks all over the place. I arrived, saw the haircut, and left. Unfortunately (and I'm kicking myself for it) I paid for my son's cut.
No drinks offered as advertised. And hardly a father son experience. What was my 2yo supposed to do while Dad had his haircut? There was no where for him to sit and play while he waited. There was a TV but impossible to see unless sitting in the chair getting a haircut.
Very overpriced. Very disappointing. Never again.
Service is average to good, and haircut is on point, however barber I visited had a disarray of cutting instruments in a drawer, nothing sterilized, and no razor finish for neck. For not inexpensive haircut, you'd expect no corners to be cut, so dropped a full 2 stars for this. Can do better GT
A truly excellent experience - great haircut and wet shave - all in a place that feels like a gentleman's club in London, which should come as little surprise because this is an offshoot of the original Gentlemen's Tonic in London's Mayfair. Not cheap, but worth the price
Not good.
Gin and tonic was nice but the haircut was really poor. In the end I took the clippers and cleaned it up myself!
I bought my husband a gift voucher for a number of services and I was very impressed. He had a facial, wet shave, haircut and even a foot/hand treatment. I would highly recommend Gentlemen's Tonic to anyone looking to get groomed in Hong Kong!
Had a wet shave and unfortunately got a cut on my chin as a result. It happens, but expected more from a barber shop. First time this has happened to me in a barbershop. Better options out there.
