Went to Tai Hang Bar and Grill after just returning to Hong Kong post covid. Use to be a regular when I was here before Covid. Menu has changed for the better and the new food options are great.
I was there for Brunch and had the Breakfast Wrap & my friend had the Tofu Chilli Scramble. Both were great. Also it seems they have Improved their coffee Significantly! It competes with some of the best I have had in Hong Kong.
Will be back
Went for breakfast. Nice sausage. Bacon ok. Hash browns cold in centre, asked to replace, still cold. Was given another portion they were slightly better but not hot in the centre. There was an "old" oil taste on Turkish bread. Table staff very good, apologetic. Not charged for browns or drinks. Wouldn't hurry back lots of other choices nearby.
Went during Christmas weekend - drinks program/order taking is poor. My partner took the mulled wine - very savory, tasted 3 days old. When returning said mulled wine, asking for Moscato in replacement, she was served Sav Blanc. When correcting this, she was offered both a glass of rose, then red, until Moscato came. Not to mention the IPA ordered was served as a lager.
Food was ok, MOD was friendly enough, when we left at 9.45pm we were the only people in the restaurant - including floor staff.
Also considering the cheque was $1,150 HKD (before removing the returned mulled wine, which was still on the cheque), quite embarrassed to bring my partner here for dinner, especially for a special occasion.
I’m a local. Went there many times with no negative event. But
1. Recently was asked to move after seating me in open air area because of some other people who wanted my table.
2. Went by tonight at 10: 15. Guy said we closed. Place indicates open till 11.
Please. Treat Tai Hang locals that way? Won’t go there again. Ever.
2 for 1 is pretty nice but the pizza is more like a french tarte flambée, having almost zero dough and no crust… salad was ok but small.
Just had lunch today. Ordered the fig salad, chicken fajitas & mushroom pizza. All were delicious.
A spacious and nice environment with friendly customer service.
Maybe it’s a late lunch during weekday, so we felt very relax without much crowds.
The food is ok, however, the soup is so salty that I can’t really drink. Feedback to the staff who take initiative asking to change to salad! Thanks for that.
Price is reasonable with such comfortable environment.
Nice lunch specials, as well as dinner weekly specials. Friendly service and good presentation.
Nice food. Great place. Loved the steak and their chocolate chip pancakes, as well as their juices.
The food is absolutely delicious especially the pasta. Moreover, the Mocktails served were simply amazing. I tried the Virgin Mohjito and absolutely loved it! Slightly expensive but worth it!
Tasty pasta on a weekday afternoon. It's located at the edge of Tai Hang and Causeway Bay hence its a little bit less busy. I had the spaghetti marinara. The portion was big and the seafood quite fresh. The sauce has a nice balance of sweetness, sourness and spice. However, just like many pasta in town, I find it to be on the saucier side. Also, the air-conditioning was a bit too strong.
Veggie pizza for take away - I was really craving for a good pizza after an exhausting day. This one was tasty, but I prefer the tomato sauce with some more spices.
Bad service and fish was almost raw. The waiter barely acknowledged the issue and didn’t compensate for an inedible plate of food. We won’t be back and have no idea why this place has high reviews - Tai Hang has so many nice restaurants, this place is for people who eat to live and not live to eat. Shambles.
Very hit and miss. The Tai Hang Bar & Grill is very much a Hong Kong styled attempt at "Western" food, which at best can be nice and at worst it's outright bad. One thing that makes up for the disappointing food are the wonderful views of the bus depot directly across from this establishment.
Love this place. Very chilled, great food. A nice spot to sit back read a paper and relax over breakfast.
Had the most disgusting fish & chips. Was clearly undercooked - and they didn’t refund. Won’t go back.
Nice breakfast with big portion and good coffee! Comfortable place & nice staff! Sure will visit again. ^^
Relaxing and cozy place, food is tasty. Good happy hour and weekday special menus. Staffs are friendly and professional.
Wonderful location and sit comfortably. Some food is better than other but overall not bad.
